I think he's always been an ISFP, he just gets thrown into a lot of social situations and tries to make the best of it. But ultimately, he'd still rather be on the couch watching the game, having a beer.

Although, he has also self-described as "a people person. . . who drinks." Sounds ESFP-ish to me.
