I can say I never have any plans to marry, ever.
Though, many INTJs enjoy marriage very much. Rationals in general, probably get married repeatedly the least. Rationals tend to weigh the pros and cons very carefully. We aren't unfeeling people, but we make our decisions based on how logical it would be. Also, being able to see the long term implications helps very much. |

IMHO, the least likely to get married - or, if you prefer, the most cautious in terms of marriage - are IxTx types as a whole.

I know I'm really picky as an INFJ, and now that I'm a little older I'm even pickier. I haven't been married yet, but...maybe I'm not the best person for the poll. LOL!
Personally, I think anyone who can't settle down or doesn't want to settle down would be the most difficult husband or wife. SPs seem pretty content if they don't get married but they might be serial "marriers" if they're not happy with what they've got, and they continue looking.

Most people I know are either married or more or less actively working towards getting married. Seriously, so many of my age contemporary friends have gotten engaged in the last year, and I know that the ones that are single are looking, or at least would say marriage is an eventual goal.
So based on my experience, all types are highly likely to get married. But most of my friends and acquaintances are more or less conservative Christians living in rural America, so perhaps this influences the matter quite a bit. As for most likely to marry repeatedly, I would vote for ENTP although again, this is based on observations, not reasoning. I've met four ENTPs so far, and compared to the rest of my acquaintances, I'd have to say they are more likely to be in a dating relationship, more likely to take a break up lightly, and more likely to move on quickly after a break up. I don't know if the same pattern would hold true for them for marriage, perhaps this is simply how they handle dating. |

Least likely to be married:
INTJs. I've met quite a few here in college. They are lone wolves by nature. I've seen them easily walk out of serious, long-term relationships unphased. It's quite disturbing. Some of these INTJs never learn to care deeply about anyone but themselves. I also notice that quite a few of these INTJs are ambivalent towards their parents. That's characteristic of type 5 in the enneagram.

Is this like a statistics question or does the OP actually expect to hear about marital inclination based on function preference?

If you knew the answer to that, would you be able to contribute to this thread?
