For those stuck between 9 and 5 maybe this will help, but I dunno. Can't remember where I found it.

I'm a Nine with a fairly strong One wing. The wing helps to counter the sloth and inertia of a Nine somewhat (though not today!)

Perhaps it's a close tie?

Eh, there are differing schools of thought. Conventional enneagram theory holds that your wing type lies either side of your main type eg. 2w1 or 2w3, and that you are affected by the traits and motivations of the wing types. (So as per the example the person who is type 2 would carry traits of type 1 and/or type 3). One wing will usually predominate.

Enneagram Institute: Enneagram Testing & Training
This is a pretty comprehensive site, go to 'Type Descriptions' in the panel on the left. The discussion board is great, I would do a search on it for 2w1 and 2w3 description... should tell you a lot. |
