Me: INFJ, male, straight
Best friend - ENFP female Best male friend - INFJ (male) First GF: ENFJ (female) Ex-GF: ENTP (female)...she's arguably my best friend. definitely the best friend i've ever had. but i have to forcibly distance myself from her at the moment, since she's very self-destructive and all i want to do is help her. Other close friends: INFP female, INTJ female, 2x ENFJ female, INTJ male, ISFJ female, ESFP female Most frequent/most loyal/most comfortable friend: ISFP female High school (stoner) friends: 2x ENTP male, ESTP male (most fun person ever) Early high school (nerd) friends: INTP male, ENFP male, ENTJ male Brother: ENTP male (augmented on this site). we've always been great friends Dad: INTP. hella withdrawn, not assertive...kind of a pussy, but a complete genius. Mom: ISFJ. traumatized. crazy. irrational. very smart and insightful...but too hard to be around for more than an hour or two at a time because she loses it...

Me: eNFP female
Family People: ESFP female, known 18 years. ![]() My sister, who's wonderful, but the sort of person I probably would not have much to do with, were we not related. But in any case, she's a bundle of fun and lets me be all superficial and girly, which I don't do often enough. ISFP female, known 20 years. :P Mother, who I'm including because we really are good friends. She has a fair whack of N, so she understands me pretty well and we can discuss things endlessly. Does talk. A lot. ![]() AND SHE JUST BROUGHT ME A PEANUT BUTTER COOKIE. High School People: INTP female, known 8 years Best friend, despite the fact we never seem to get around to doing stuff with just the two of us anymore (and time spent with her one-on-one is always brilliant). Way smart. ![]() ISTJ female, known 7/8 years Very good close friend of me and the INTP. We've had a lot of similar experiences so we relate really well, plus she's just a wonderful person. Oh, and she's super smart, too. ESFJ female, known 6/7 years Another friend of the ISTJ and INTP and myself but I see her less often... always a ball of grins and hugs. ![]() University People: ENTP female, known 1 year Like instantaneous friend-in-a-can. We got on like wildfire and it seems like I've known her so much longer than just 12 months or so. Also have so much in common it's creepy. ![]() ISTJ male, known 8 months Was in occasional classes with him for a couple of years before I actually got to know him better. So very entertaining, I had him pegged as an EF of some sort when I first tried to type him. ISFJ female, known a few months Girlfriend of ISTJ above. So nice and considerate. Very warm and an incredible hostess. ENFP female, known 8 months Possibly borderline S but I'm pretty sure she's an N. More extraverted than I am. Zany and entertaining. We go a little bonkers when we're left together too long. :P Probable INTJ male, known a few months Boyfriend of ENFP above. Not shy but fairly quiet, seemed to reserve most of his attention for the ENFP until recently when the three of us have been working together on a group project and I've gotten to know him a bit better. ?N?? male, known 8 months His type confuses me, beyond maybe being an N of some sort? ^^ A good friend of the ISTJ (and ENFP) above. Nice and funny. EN?? female, known 8 months Also never got around to testing her. Might be a T, but not sure she fits into an NT description. But anyway, hilarious and more than a little brazen. Unfortunately abroad this semester.

My best friend's an ENFP. My boyfriend's an ISFJ. My cousin & brother are INFP's. My best guy friend is an INTP. That's really the extent of people I feel I am close to...
However, the majority of my more casual friendships are with people who seem to be SP's. |

I'm a straight INFP male.
Friend A: Male, straight, known him for 8 years I'm going to guess ENTX. Ever since we were kids he always took control and initiative to lead the group. He's a strong leader, he even calls himself "alpha dog" sometimes, although most people laugh at him when he does that He is a good leader though. He has an insane imagination... he pretty much embodies Ne in that sense, but there is also strong evidence of Te, which is theoretically impossible, but only theoretically. His imagination pretty much turns any situation into another world, with hilarious results. Consequently he is the kind of person people either love being around or can't stand at all -I love him! He's a lot of fun even if he can be difficult sometimes, but I think ultimately a lot of the stuff he does that makes him difficult is an act :P In short, I'd describe him as a good leader with a strong, hilarious imagination.Friend B: Female, straight, known her for three or four years... probably four now. I gave her the humanmetrics test and she tested ENTP. I also remember her testing ESFJ once, but she denied it and said ENTP fit better... and it does (I'll explain why in a second). There is one sad thing that makes this a tricky thing to guess, and that is her depression when her dad fell victim to cocaine addiction. She said her psychiatrists said she had become emotional numb (something she has now largely overcome). I think she's ENTP because she's clearly a "people person" -she likes going to parties and being around people... although she actually doesn't like a lot of people because she is fixated on some of the negative aspects of humanity sometimes. Whenever I spit any of my Ne ideas at her, she relates and responds with her own Ne ideas. She seems to be a thinker because she says she doesn't relate to most girls because they are too emotional (well, specifically, Fe, but she doesn't know the MBTI terms, but she was bassically complaining about the social role of Fe in women) and that she is more logical. She is also interested in sciences. Her sense of humour is kind of ENTPish, but not in the same way a lot of other ENTPs are. I don't know how I'd describe her in short... but I've probably confided in her more than anyone else ever. Friend C: Straight male, known him for a year and a half or two years now. ENTP. He introduced me to MBTI. He is fucking brilliant -end of story. He seriously blows me away, not just in his mad-scientist ideas but also how he presents them to people. Its so innovative and unique and almost always better than the traditional style. This has influenced my own thinking and my own style of presenting ideas to other people, to the point where I almost masquerade as an ENTP when I'm presenting a science project or whatever. He can also be very serious, and in clasic NT style, almost NTJ style, he defends his opinion while poiting out the loopholes in your own logic. His beleif in his opinions and his logic is so strong some people accuse him of being arrogant and pompous. In short I'd say he is a brilliantly mad scientist with a strong beleif in his own logic.

I am a straight INTP male, with I'd say 4 good friends.
Friend 1: INTP male. He's really into computers, and plans to get 2 associates degrees in (two computer related fields, can't remember) before moving on to a bachelor's degree. He's intense about the computers, y'see. Likes WoW, gaming in general, and anime. He's a really good natured guy-- I know him roughly from middle school-- and he's also good friends with... Friend 2: ISTP male. He's also a computer geek and anime fan, but he's also a ladies' man. It seems like he's always getting into these bizarre romantic entanglements ("So then my ex-girlfriend and I had sex, but it turns out she was pregnant with her new boyfriend's child!") Also has broken up with the same girl about 3 times. I tell you, this man defies stereotyping. I've known him since childhood. Friend 3: INFJ female, met at college. Extremely warm and fuzzy, and very enthusiastic about geology. Gives a lot of compliments, but doesn't seem to give herself enough credit. She's one of the very few people at college I actually feel completely comfortable/non-self-concious around. We tried going out at one point, but we had been friends for so long (about a year and a half) that it felt odd. Friend 4: XNTP male, met at college. It's like he's got two sides-- the really analytical, Ti side which reads and thinks about the philosophy of science, and the party-going side which tells hilarious jokes and goes to parties. If I were a betting man, I'd say he's an INTP, and he's just gotten very good with his extroverted mask. But I'm not, so I won't. I don't see him often, but I sometimes get into these long, in-depth philosophical conversations with him. It's good times! |
