Today I joined the race to be President of my Students' Association.

The first question I was asked was could I do the job?

And of course I don't want to do the job - I want to do something different.

I want to bring the unconscious into the conscious mind.

Fortunately my Uni is deeply unconscious and so is ripe for the picking.

No, my problem is how to flood the Uni with my unconscious.

First how can I put my conscious mind aside as President. And secondly what about the enormous abreaction this will cause in the Uni.

Fortunately I have technology on my side.

I will conduct the Presidency electronically. And in particular with video and sound.

This immediately abolishes time and space and so I will link with other Students' Associations across the world.

But most of all the electronic media abolishes the dissociation of the unconscious and the conscious.

So all I need to do is avoid becoming another Uni bureaucrat and become an electronic cowboy.

It seems just too easy.

Back in college, every commentary Syracuse's Daily Orange ran on student government included spot illustrations of a bare behind positioned as if speaking into a microphone.

If you go in with a) 98.6 F; b) 100 IQ; and c) nominally functioning senses of right, wrong, fashion, sight and smell; you will do just fine.

Are you a student? I thought you were some really older guy that sits around ingesting loads of hallucigenic cacti, whilst thinking about life.

What exactly do you mean when you speak about conciousness and unconciousness and thought and everything? I'm very interested in what all this means, particularly because it is all in an educational setting, where people are learning, searching, trying to become concious, ect.

What are concious and unconcious thoughts?

Is becoming concious and actualized a good pursuit?

Is unconcious thought preferable?

How does using digital media achieve unconciousness?

Good luck running for president!

I don't think I understand what specifically you're attempting to do or what your goal is.

When you say "conscious," are you refering to the ego? Our capacity for deliberation/interpretation? A "higher" consciousness (ie spirit)?

And is "unconscious" refering to the primitive aspect of our existence (whatever that is)? or our subconscious thoughts and emotions?
For the latter, I'd suggest using art: pictures and/or music. Again, though, I don't know exactly what you mean by "conscious."
