PARIS - Opposition to a new security database is gaining momentum in France as people return to work after a summer break during which the government authorized the state to store personal information on people as young as 13..(more at link)

Hey, they voted for the conservative, they shouldn't be surprised that this is what they get.

All I could do was laugh. ...as people return to work after a summer break during which the government authorized the state...You know your country's in a sorry state when the government is more efficient and productive than the citizens.

Our country can't say much in that area right now either, collectively we voted for the conservative too.

I'm not surprised that the French wouldn't stand for it. We tend to revolt at the drop of a hat every time a tree looks at us in a funny way hahahah
But I believe there's been similar objections raised to Phorm...
