I've joined the party. Well, everything's a party. I'm here to fulfill your stereotypes and then some. I've always been genuinely interested in personalities and types and being able to understand people more. It just helps me get along with the world that I'm running around in. I'm currently a senior medical student in Southern Cali, getting my MD in May, and will be traveling the country soon to look for residency spots.
Anyway, hello to all. Let's roll!

Holy crap, one actually came.
Well, I hope one actually came, last one was just here for some advice, the one before that turned out to be an ENTJ, and the one before that was lying the whole time and was actually an ENTP.

I test strongly on E,S,and P every time. The only one that fluctuates is T/F, but 90% of the time I'm a T.

I'm your shadow, onecoolguy. An INFJ. I'm glad you're not afraid to confront your subconscious mind. Welcome to the world of INs, which must seem quite shadowy and vague to you.
Anyway, what brought you here? You must be pretty bored, tired, or stressed if you're posting here instead of running around out in the real world.
I know you're probably in a hurry to understand how you can apply this to yourself and your interactions with others (believe me, I wouldn't like being out there in all that stuff going on any more than you like being stuck here on a forum), so I'll give you the short explanation of how to confront your shadow and become a more balanced person, according to MBTI theory. Force yourself to look at things from multiple perspectives more often instead of assuming that there's only one valid one, and try to concern yourself with other people's feelings and expectations. This will probably be uncomfortable, but that just means it's working. Good luck with that. It should result in you being better able to understand where people who are significantly different from you are coming from, and thus be more effective at dealing with them than before. If you want to know more, you may have to sit still and focus a lot longer than you like.
Oh, and I hope your residency goes well. Good luck!

I bet you're really looking forward to residency where you actually get to DO things!! As you specialize it'll be easier to find more docs like you (unless you for some reason choose pathology (all Introverts), neurosurgery (Intuitives tend to hang out there) or psychiatry (same deal). We need more docs like you. And welcome to the forum--I've been married to an ESTP forever and it's a great way to keep fun in life, marrying your opposite.

Honey, bunny, your sister better start to take MBTIs and the like right away so that next year she'll have an idea where she's headed to :)
Getting serious now, an acquaintance of mine ended up in the Transitional-Year Residency Program because he'd not made up his mind what residency he wanted - now, granted, that's not that bad, but he'd have preferred to have gone for a "real" residency right from the beginning.
