Hmm, good question! I thought Neuroscience was really interesting. I mean, it extends into so many different fields that its difficult to find an aspect of it that you wouldn't be interested in. I really didn't have a passion for it, though.
It was also setting me up for a career in research or academia that was completely wrong for me. I just have no interest in doing research, and academic snobbery drives me nuts. Nursing seemed like a much better career fit.

I can completely understand that. And if you're good with people, I definitely thing it's for the best.
At one point I was thinking of going into mental health nursing with the army. I felt that a good mix of the two, and it can progress into mental health/psych masters if you wish/with experience. My sentimental ideals sort of got in the way, though.

Current Major: Information Systems
Future Major: PhD in Computational Psychology
Job: Retail during school months, the Computer Science Corporation during the summer
Prospective Career: Computational Psychologist
I have a nack for computers but truthfully can't see myself doing it for the rest of my life. With this thought in mind, I've recently decided to go back after I'm finished in two years, for a PhD in Computational Psychology with focus in that main field and also in clinical. I hope do do either clinical or work on artificial intelligence on the psychology side. This isn't some ENFP daydream, I'm actually quite serious about it.

ISTP
Majored in chemistry. Currently working toward a PhD in chemistry.
My current research involves optical and electronic properties of inorganic materials. Past research has involved a lot of environmental science and analytical chemistry.
For money I am on a grad student support plan, which pays me to teach things like physical chemistry problem sessions and organic chemistry lab. It also covers tuition.
In the future I plan to either get a postdoc research position or a real job. Real (non-academic) jobs for chemists typically come from one of three places: government, non-profits, or industry.
