This is an excellent site I have been using for a long time. It gives strengths and weaknesses of the various types - also valuable insight into the "eruption of the inferior" as Naomi Quenk calls it. They refer to it as the "shadow". This company is based in the UK.

Team Technology Online Questionnaire (http://www.teamtechnology.co.uk/mmdi-re/mmdi-re.htm)

The online questionnaire apparently isn't accurate, but I have always found the descriptions of the types helpful.

Someone else has posted this link here somewhere.

I took it again and got the IBSF code -- so their best guess for me was INFJ vs INTJ (with INxP a close second).

And INxJ are both wrong, as I'm about as "not J" as you can get.

Something's not balanced correctly in the test, for some types, apparently.

You were that someone else!

I agree, somewhat. As noted at the time, I find the questions original; but the calculation is odd, as I come out an xSTP more often than not.

Edit: Wait a minute. Could the axis be inverted, on the back-end, somehow?

for me it's INFP(75%) vs INFJ(73%)

The only thing is most of those things were situational. I could feel either way on somethings depending on the situation.

Well, this thing has me coming out INFP/INFJ... I could understand a test mistaking me for an INFP, but not an INFJ. My Ni is average at best, and my Fe is a joke. Ne and Fi are my two strongest functions (followed by Se, then Ti, heh).

You were that someone else!

 Oh geez.... my brain IS fried. Totally.

(I did the same thing earlier this week -- went to someone to ask them why their stored procedure didn't produce output following the mockup I was using... and was reminded that they were following the updated mockup instead... and I was the one who had updated it two months ago.)

I agree, somewhat. As noted at the time, I find the questions original; but the calculation is odd, as I come out an xSTP more often than not.

Hmm. And I would definitely view you as INTJ (based on your posts) moreso than the reading you're receiving.

Edit: Wait a minute. Could the axis be inverted, on the back-end, somehow?

Could you expand that thought a little further? (And are you thinking that perhaps they have a programming error?)

84% ISTP and 80% INTP.

Thanks for the clarification.

hahaha...this test doesn't work for me. :-) I got either 53% or 55% for ALL of the 16 functions. What can I say, apparently I don't have strong reactions towards any of their scenarios.

When I took it last week, it was more varied - by a little - 46% was the lowest, and 62% highest, with INFJ/ENFJ at 62%, and INTJ/INFP/ISFJ fairly close seconds.

I recognized this as soon as I clicked on it. YOU posted it last time! I remember because it's the first time I've ever been an ISTP <snort>

This time I got INTP <hahahahahahahaha> followed by ENTP <even funnier> and ENTJ <more likely> and INTJ.

Having to choose between two things that are both annoying or two things that I don't enjoy doesn't seem like it would tell you much about me.

Having to choose between two things that are both annoying or two things that I don't enjoy doesn't seem like it would tell you much about me.

That pretty much sums up the problem with the test - although with the addition for me that I was apathetic about both options in some instances - which is why my results are completely middle of the road.

Could you expand that thought a little further? (And are you thinking that perhaps they have a programming error?)One guess is that, judging by results, the axes governing S/N and J/P scales are reversed.

At first I intended to encourage folks to take a look at the type descriptions.

I didn't like this test. I felt the thinking versus feeling scenarios were too much correlated to morality vs. organization, that's lame. Plus it was the kind with scaled options. I HATE that. I have no clue what I'm doing. I'd prefer "yes" or "no".

I took this one several weeks ago and my results were in another thread. I decided to try it again and see how things change for results. The thing I liked about this one is that a lot of the questions were easy for me to give a more extreme answer to and I equate that with being a good indication that the results are less likely to be skewed from choosing between two choices where neither fit. There were some that were not easy answers but those were cases where I still had strong enough feelings to need to weigh how I might respond. Here are some of the ones I wavered on.

Which is Most Comfortable for You?
comforting other people who feel hurt or upset
or
forming my own explanations of how things work

Both come naturally to me, so I chose the middle on the side closest to forming my own explanations of how things work.

How do other people annoy you most?
if they compromise to keep the peace
or
if they argue over small differences of opinion

This one makes me a bit of a hypocrite but I chose a slight edge to finding compromise more annoying than arguing over small differences of opinion. Even though I myself am more likely to compromise, I respect those who speak up for and defend their opinions and before I compromise I like to be sure my opinion was heard (if I had one).

Which do You Enjoy Most?
forming my own rationale of why things happen
or
taking care of other people's feelings

I do both of these naturally, but the key to this question was the semantics of "which do you enjoy most" and for that it was a clear choice for forming my own rationale of why things happen and chose the middle of that side of the slider (1 away from the extreme choice for it)

Which do You Enjoy Most?
trying out new ways of doing things
or
contemplating my own observations
This is one I could go either way on depending on my mood and either end of the scale too. This time I chose the middle of contemplating my own observations since I think I do that more often than finding new ways to do things.

What irritates you most about other people?
when they are nice to others despite their private feelings
or
when they give complicated explanations of things
I tend to actually like complicated explanations so this one should have been easy, but I don't see being nice to others as that bad of a thing unless it also means being dishonest to do it, so I went with the middle of when they are nice despite private feelings.

What gives you most satisfaction?
challenging the status quo, to shake things up a bit
or
reviewing my own experiences and knowledge
I like both of those, but I think challenging values of normalcy is more enjoyable and gives more satisfaction for me especially if I can make someone see the flaws of blindly following convention, so I chose the one less than extreme choice for challenging the status quo.

The first time I took it, the differentiation between INFP and INFJ was only a couple percent in favor of INFP. This time the differentiation was a bit clearer.
