I think that's a point of conflict right there. From what I've seen just on the boards, ENFPs are prone to being seen as inconsistent by some other types and that leads to suspicion and judgement calls about motives and mis/interpretation as insincere or fickle.

Really, whenever two people operate differently, it's always a possible source of friction. You may do something for X reason but if someone interprets it as Y, sometimes there's just no getting around it because you're arguing about totally different things. Perception is the crux of any relationship and I think most conflicts arise over 1) Whether or not you really did in fact, do something for X reason and 2) whose responsibility is it that the other person feels Y. Arguments boil over when you focus on whose MORE correct or more valid instead of what people are feeling and why and how to interact in a way that will not set each other off. And sometimes, if the other person feels Y, that's it, game over.
