I've found in the past when working or dealing with ENFP's that it sorta falls to me to be the faux-J. I think because Ti is more likely to be assertive than Fi when backing up Ne, it tends to work that way. ENFP won't nag or bully me, and I don't like to nag or bully them either, but if either one of us is more likely to get sick of the shenanigans and just say "FFS let's just get on with it!" then it'll probably be ENTP.

I find that the person I become when spending extended periods with ENFP's isn't someone I like. As I say, it falls to me to have to be a lot bossier and harsher than I am naturally, and I can find it draining to have to always be the bad guy, or else nothing gets done.

It could just be that my J functions are stronger than the ENFP's I've known, though (see my signature), so maybe it's an individual thing; maybe I find it easier to 'transform' temporarily into ENTJ than they do into ENFJ.

Another problem in communication is both strongly Ne partners are bound to make the mistake of assuming that the other person has connected the same dots they have. And considering that one is looking along Feeling lines to connect them and one along Thinking, it's unlikely that they will very often join the same dots together.

Hmm... it's hard to really put my finger on it much more than that. I just know that I love ENFP's usually, but it can get tiring and a bit strained after a few days of prolonged contact (vacations, long hours work projects etc).

Also the fact that ENXP's are highly driven and energized by the presence of another person, and both can keep pinging around like a ball in a pinball machine as long as there's something to ping against, there may be very little rest, reflection or even sleep, as everything one says starts the other pinging, the other pings again from that, and on it goes.

Many times when my brother's slept over we've found ourselves still talking at 4am, knowing we have to be up in a few hours for a long journey, but neither of us can seem to stop the flow of inspiration we're getting off each other, despite our bodies protesting in exhausted agony!!
