IMO and in my experience the martyr-like accomodating of others that NFJs are always linked to stems from a deep (existential) need to receive a strong emotional bond/affirmation in return. As such, its status as "real caring about others" is problematic because they essentially do it for themselves rather than for the other person.

(No, I don't hate NFJs, my best friends are NFJs...and this is also not meant as a personal attack.)
